Brian Cotter Takes 2024 Brian Holland Cup

The 2024 Brian Holland cup saw an impressive gun to tape victory for Marcus O’Sullivan on a wet night in Raheny. O’Sullivan clocked 13 minutes 48 seconds, some seven seconds clear of Kevin Byrne. The Brian Holland Cup is a sealed handicap with Brian Cotter beating the handicapper to take victory ahead of previous winner Martin Kelly with Mick King third. Gun to tape results below.

Club Track & Field Championship Report

The sun shone for the 2024 Club championships. We were back at Morton Stadium on Saturday 13th April after last year’s hiatus whilst it was being resurfaced. It kicked off the outdoor track season for all our athletes and was the first competition on the track not only for the young seven-year-olds but also for some master athletes. Weekend Road Racing Round-Up

Mark Hogan was first Raheny athlete home at the Great Ireland Run posting 36 minutes 58 to take 16th place overall. Hogan was followed home by Niall O’Neill 37:21. Will Walsh 37:37, Michael Kehoe 41:24, Robert, Thomas Mangan 47:25, Aileen Byrne 48:59 and Angela Charlton 58:26.
