The Odyssey Arena in Belfast once again hosts the AAI Indoor senior championships this weekend and the club will be represented in a wide range of disciplines.

In the men’s sprints we have high hopes for our representatives in the 60 metres where Jamie Davis, Rob Rath and Barry O’Donoghue are in the form of their lives.  Jamie also goes in the 200 metres where he will be expected to post a big PB.

In the men’s 400 metres National silver medallist Kieran Kelly is coming into form at just the right time.  The speed in his racing and training has improved consistently over the last few weeks.

In the 1500m Kevin Moriarty, Feidhlim Kelly, Daire Birmingham and junior Jake McDonnell will all be in action while in the pole vault the experienced Stuart Greene has high hopes of the podium place while junior Peter O’Brien makes his debut and has ambitions of making the 4 metre mark.

It is hoped that club supporters will make the short journey north for the championships and Sunday promises a fascinating day of competition with all the big finals down for decision.
